The Group has developed a 2.4 Km railway siding facility from Kuditini village up to Kurugod level crossing in
Bellary. Spread over an area of 100 acres, this infrastructure is used for loading and
unloading of basic raw materials such as iron ore and coal and transport
of finished products. The railway siding has a capacity to handle 1.5
million tons per annum by loading/unloading upto two rakes a day,
at 4,000 tons per rake.
The railway siding also provides additional facilities for proper storage,
stacking, crushing, screening, weighment of the basic iron ore
and coal apart from transporting the same for the domestic industries. |
